1. Project Background & Customer Requirements

A leading industrial company in Malaysia reached out to us with a specialized layout requirement for their site expansion. The client needed a compact, efficient, and environmentally compliant surface preparation and protective coating line within a 12x12 meter  workshop footprint.


Key Challenges & Specifications:


1.Footprint Constraints: Both the abrasive blasting booth and the paint spray booth needed to fit side-by-side within a restricted 12*12 meter plant layout.

2.Workpiece Dimensions: Designed to handle heavy steel pipes up to 6 meter

3.Environmental Compliance: A customized 20 meter height exhaust chimney/stack was required to meet local Malaysian Department of Environment (DOE) air emission regulations.


2. Our Customized Engineering Solution


Based on the preliminary site sketch and technical parameters, our engineering team provided an optimized dual-booth layout:


A Heavy-Duty Abrasive Blasting Booth (8x5x4meter)

Enclosure: Heavy-duty insulated panels lined with wear-resistant rubber sheets.

Abrasive Recovery Options: Mechanical/pneumatic recovery system designed to efficiently handle steel grit and alumina, reducing manual labor.

Dust Collection: High-efficiency reverse-pulse cartridge filter system ensuring clear visibility during operation.


B. Industrial Spray Painting Booth (8x5x4meter)


Airflow Design: Downward/cross-draft airflow system ensuring uniform paint mist filtration.

Exhaust & Filtration: Multi-stage dry filtration paired with a 20meter structural exhaust stack for high-altitude emission compliance.

Handling System: Tailored floor guide/rail cart system for easy loading and unloading of 6m heavy steel pipes.
