Guangzhou, China — As the global demand for smart infrastructure and renewable energy integration grows, the surface treatment requirements for outdoor intelligent equipment are becoming increasingly rigorous. Recently, CoatTech's engineering team successfully engaged with a leading factory in Uzbekistan to design a highly customized Automatic Powder Coating Line specifically for heavy-duty solar-powered smart gate systems.
The Engineering Challenge
The initial consultation presented a significant engineering challenge. The client required a production capacity of 20 to 30 units per hour for their solar gate equipment. Fully assembled, each unit measures approximately 2m x 2m x 0.8m and weighs between 500 kg and 600 kg.
Processing fully assembled, heavy-mass equipment at such high speeds usually requires a massive footprint, extreme heavy-duty Power & Free conveyors, and exceptionally high natural gas consumption to ensure the dense metal core reaches the correct curing temperature. This approach often leads to excessive capital expenditure and operational costs.
CoatTech’s Value-Driven Solution
Instead of simply quoting a high-cost, oversized system, our chief engineers collaborated closely with the Uzbekistan client to analyze their pre-assembly workflow. By reviewing the structural design of the solar gate—which includes the main heavy-duty frame, protective control cabinets, and solar panel mounting poles—CoatTech proposed a highly efficient Component-Based Coating Strategy.
By separating the heavy structure into individual sheet metal and structural components before coating, our team optimized the hanging pitch and conveyor speed. This strategic adjustment completely transformed the line layout, eliminating the need for an oversized curing oven and significantly reducing the natural gas burner capacity required, all while perfectly meeting the client's 20-30 sets/hour throughput goal.
Proposed System Technical Specifications
To ensure maximum efficiency and ease of integration, our engineers have proposed the following optimized parameters for the client's facility:
| Parameter | Optimized Specification | Engineering Benefit |
| System Type | Automatic Component Powder Coating Line | Ensures uniform coating on all internal/external surfaces. |
| Application Industry | Renewable Energy & Smart Infrastructure | High-weatherability surface finish for outdoor solar equipment. |
| Workpiece Processing | Disassembled Sheet Metal & Structural Parts | Reduces required conveyor weight capacity and energy waste. |
| Target Throughput | 20 - 30 complete sets / hour (Equivalent in parts) | Maintains high production volume with a smaller line footprint. |
| Curing Energy Source | Natural Gas | Highly efficient, economical heating suited for Central Asian markets. |
| Conveyor System | Optimized Enclosed Track / I-Beam Conveyor | Cost-effective and precise movement based on calculated part distribution. |
