The project transforms a previously batch-oriented finishing operation into a continuous suspended flow for welded racks, mesh components and tubular frames.
The customer coats high quantities of welded metal frames, mesh/rack components and bar-type parts. Batch-style handling created congestion on the shop floor, uneven hanging density and variable cure/dry performance. The brief was a continuous-flow layout that kept parts suspended, reduced floor occupation and standardized process exposure.
Limited floor space — a high-bay hall with little room for additional batch stations
Mixed part shapes — long bars, welded meshes and rack frames to be processed on one line
Stable hanging pitch — need for smooth curves, transfers and accumulation without product collision
Enclosed process and curing — requirement for a clean coating environment and controlled drying/curing
Less manual movement — goal to cut rework and free operators from repetitive lifting and carrying
CoatTech supplied a modular overhead conveyor coating line with multi-level steel supports, curved and accumulating track sections, dedicated hanging jigs, enclosed side-wall process chambers and a light-colored insulated tunnel for curing/drying. The layout uses vertical space and directs parts through loading, coating preparation/process zones and curing in a single coordinated flow.
