FAQs:
  • Can I spray the final topcoat in this Prep Station?
Technically yes, but we do not recommend it for high-quality finishes. The Prep Station is not a sealed environment like a Spray Booth, so there is a higher risk of dust. It is best used for Primer and Putty applications.
  • Does it need a metal base or basement?
No. The most popular model is the Rear Draft version, which sits on your existing flat concrete floor and sucks air out through a filter box on the back wall. This saves money on ramps and steel bases.
  • Can you make a station for multiple cars at once?
Yes, we can connect multiple units together side-by-side to create a multi-bay sanding line for handling several vehicles simultaneously.
  • Is the fan unit noisy?
We use a dynamic balanced centrifugal fan with a belt drive, which keeps noise levels below 75dB for a quieter workshop environment.
